I want to formally introduce myself to all of you out there; My name is Tyler Bennett and I am a Freelance Writer and Blogger. I will be writing the blog posts in the Writing category of this website, and I want to say that I am very excited. This website means a lot to me as I feel as it is a great way for me to give back to the community that has done so much for me. Whether you are a blogger, or a freelance writer who writes blog posts, it is very important that you know how to write a blog post effectively. Writing an engaging, inspiring, and informative blog post is truly an art, and one that few have mastered. I have been blogging and writing for various blogs for quite a while now, and I have yet to master the art.
A good blog post is easily read, contains perfect grammar and spelling, is formatted correctly, and has a lot of good information.
A great blog post has all of the above, is engaging, easily navigated and understood, and forces the reader to take all of the information in and read it again out of sheer awe. That is the kind of blog post that all blogger want to create or receive, but that expectation is rarely met.
Unlike other styles of writing, blogging requires you too know the ins and outs of your audience. You must know them in such a way that your writing will be able to connect with them and make them want to start a conversation with you. This is a hard task since you will never meet most, if not all, of your readers in person.
This means that you must do research in your niche’s audience, and try to communicate with your readers on a friendly level at all times. The best way to do this is to talk with them through email, comments, or host a poll on a question that you need to know the answer to. Also, ask for feedback from your readers. This will give you an insight into what they expect from you, and maybe what they believe you need to improve on.
Writing a blog post that a reader can connect with is a hard task to achieve, but it is crucial to a blogs success. If you work at it hard enough, and take the time to build relationships with your readers, you will eventually be able to do it time after time.
